Common questions
- PitBook can't find my MEATER probe.
- A probe connects to one device at a time. Fully close the MEATER app by swiping it away, turn off your MEATER Block, take the probe off its charger and keep it within a few feet of your iPhone while PitBook scans.
- My alerts stopped in the middle of a cook.
- Alerts pause if PitBook is force-quit or your iPhone restarts during a cook. Open PitBook to resume them, and check that notifications are turned on in PitBook's settings.
- I subscribed, but PitBook is locked on my new iPhone.
- Sign in to the App Store with the same Apple ID you subscribed with, then open PitBook and tap Restore Purchases.
- Where are my cooks stored?
- Your cooks, photos and probe readings are stored on your iPhone and synced through your own iCloud account, in a private CloudKit database. Redellium can't access them.
PitBook logs temperatures and timings from your probe. It doesn't judge food safety. Follow USDA safe-temperature guidance and your own judgment.
